Praise Report from Siguatepeque, Honduras — November 7-11, 2017

Praise the Lord for another fruitful mission at Destino del Reino Children’s Home and Christian School. This was my 37th trip to Honduras! I (Wade Trimmer) borrow an excerpt from the monthly newsletter of the founder and director of Destino del Reno, Rhonda Jackson, to sum up my time there:

“Pastor Wade was here this past week for another wonderful time in the Word of God.  He spoke at the one-day Bible conference about being a “CIA Christian” – (Christ Is All) Christian.  It was so good to focus only on Jesus and nothing else.  One of his statements really stuck with me and the 250 poor Hondurans in the conference were encouraged by it — “A person who has Christ and everything (i.e. wealth, fame, etc.) has no more than the person who has Christ and has nothing”  — Jesus Christ is ALL and if we understood that completely we could say like Paul, I know how to be in need and also how to live in abundance — it really doesn’t matter.

Pastor Wade was also able to share a few hours with our high schoolers about discipleship since they are discipling younger kids each week. He also spent a few hours with them on the subject of having a Christian perspective on the world. Then on Wednesday night, we had a dinner for the fathers and 60 were there to hear Wade’s message on the three crosses. Afterwards, Pastor Wade said he has never had a more anointed time with the men in all his times here. Praise God for all He is doing in these people. Thank you, Pastor Wade, for being willing to come so often and teach.”

I got home from Honduras on Saturday at 10:00PM and Anne and I left for Houston at 8:30AM, Sunday, on our way to Midfield, TX to a board meeting with Paul and Billie Tsika. After a great four days with them, we got home late last night, tired but blessed.

Please continue to pray for our sister, Rhonda Jackson, the director of this great ministry, who is being mightily used of the Lord. She continues to astound and amaze me with her child-like trust of the Lord and the miraculous, daily ways Father provides for her and the ministry’s needs. Pray for her personal health and safety, as well as all the funds, resources, and personnel needed to continue to equip future generations of young men and women who will impact, not only Honduras, but the world! Thank you for your ongoing intercession and investment in Training for Reigning Institute of Disciple-making and Pastor Wade Trimmer.
